Understanding ADHD

This microcredential is delivered at Macquarie University by the Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) as part of the University’s professional development program. Participants attended a workshop that introduced: · the types, characteristics, and prevalence of ADHD · comorbidities that may accompany ADHD · current research on the impact of ADHD on learners in higher education Learning Outcomes: On completion of this microcredential, recipients have: · discussed the characteristics of ADHD and its comorbidities · explored current research on ADHD and its impact on learners in higher education · used case studies to strengthen their understanding of learners’ experience of ADHD · reflected on their personal understanding of ADHD in light of workshop content. Activities: Assigned readings, Case Studies, Group Discussion, Structured Reflection Volume of Learning: 1.5 hours
