This microcredential is delivered at Macquarie University by the Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) as part of the University’s professional development program. Participants attended a workshop that introduced:
· key conceptual theories of neurodiversity and its presentation in adult learners
· the impact of neurodiversity on learners in higher education
· positive perspectives on neurodiversity
Learning Outcomes:
On completion of this microcredential, recipients have:
· discussed the concept of neurodiversity and how it presents in adult learners
· identified the role of executive function in learning and behaviour
· explored current research on neurodiversity and its effects on learners in higher education
· reflected on their personal understanding of neurodiversity in light of workshop content
