This microcredential is delivered at Macquarie University by the Office of the Pro-Vice Chancellor (Learning and Teaching) as part of the University’s professional development program. Participants attended a workshop that introduced: · best practice teaching strategies for neurodiverse learners · Universal Design for Learning · accessibility and usability considerations for neurodiverse learners · action plans for supporting neurodiverse learners Learning Outcomes: On completion of this microcredential, recipients have: · discussed the principles of Universal Design for Learning · discussed accessibility and usability considerations for neurodiverse learners · used case studies to strengthen their understanding of positive learning and teaching approaches for neurodiverse students · created an action plan for supporting neurodiverse learners that integrates evidence-based knowledge and best practice Activities: Assigned readings, Case Studies, Group Discussion, Structured Reflection, Action Plan Volume of Learning: 1.5 hours
