Health Sciences: Train the Trainer Learning Design Workshops

This series of online workshops are a follow up series to the first set of introductory online teaching & learning workshops. These will further explore online learning and teaching design principles, adult learning theories and principles and dive into discipline-specific course design. These workshops will be broadly based, encompassing the development of knowledge and skills in areas including adult learning principles, course design and online assessment, identifying and evaluating suitable tools and multimedia learning objects. Additionally, an opportunity will be provided at the end the series to consolidate learning and discuss the promotion of learning & teaching values. Program Details: • Delivery: This is an online program delivers by Academic staff and Senior Learning Designers from across Macquarie University. It comprises of pre and post work, assessments, live online workshops and drop-in sessions. • Volume of Learning: 17 hours (10.75 Learning and 6.25hrs Pre/Post work and Assessment) • Activities: Workshops, drop-in sessions, breakout room discussions, discussion forums, pre and post work (readings, videos, multiple choice quiz, short answers) • Assessments: SMART Goals, Case Study Analysis, Individual Course Plan, Group Presentation, Attendance
